SIZZLING SHOWS - CORPORATE ENTERTAINMENT

Believe it or not I was visiting my doctor last week when he asked me what I do for a living, and I told him I was a corporate entertainment buyer. “Excuse me?” is a typical response when I tell people what I do, and I explained, “When companies, foundations or associations have conferences or meetings I book the entertainment to make their events exciting and fun for all the participants.”

He threw up his hands and said, “That’s what we’re missing! The conferences I attend need entertainment because people get tired of sitting and listening to lectures all day. Tell me what’s hot right now for corporate events because I want to let the decision makers know that they need to contact you ASAP.”

Knowing information about the details below can help identify viable entertainment options to get the participants excited and engaged.

Location

If your show is in Nashville and you want something that’s authentic, look at singer and songwriter options. These are the people that write the hit songs that Luke Bryan sings on the radio, and gives the audience the unique insight into the stories and inspirations behind the hit songs. If you’re in Cleveland it’s all about the rock ’n roll shows that fit right in with the Rock ’N Roll Hall of Fame. Miami? Look into a hot DJ that will keep the party tunes going all night.

Audience

Make certain you know your audience - age, male/female, where they are coming from and any interests they might have. Booking an EDM (electronic dance music) act for a group of car salesman whose average age is 45 may not have the impact you are looking for.

Budget

Booking the Zac Brown Band or Adele for corporate dates isn’t an affordable option for all of my clients so looking at a fantastic cover band might be the way to go. High-quality dance or party bands may cost a bit more, but they are hot because they perform a variety of songs and get people on the dance floor singing or dancing along.

Other Ideas

It doesn’t always have to be about music either. Mentalists, comedians, magicians, ventriloquists or cirque acts are some ideas that can have a huge impact, giving a fresh twist to your event. Think about incorporating team building activities that involve chefs, songwriters or percussion groups to encourage learning and motivation while having fun.

It’s time to add some sizzle to your conference or meeting - let me help you to deliver the magic.
